With the drive-by-wire throttle on the NC, is there a realistic possibility of an aftermarket ECU? It would be nice to be able to raise the redline a bit... 7500rpm would get you to 60 mph in the 6-speed... And it would be nice to eliminate the post-shift "power dip" too...
Side question...anyone know anything about the ECU program the MX-5 Cup cars are using?
Is an aftermarket ECU possible for the NC?
Vishnu / BEGI have installed the XEDE ecu in a NC-model, with good results...but no retail product announcement as yet...
Check out BEGI's website for what scarce details there are.

The price of the Xcede is nice, but It's my understanding that piggyback units cannot raise rev limits...ZIPNBYE wrote:Vishnu / BEGI have installed the XEDE ecu in a NC-model, with good results...but no retail product announcement as yet...

Maybe FM will have something eventually...
