Thanks for the info on the RX8 wheel, Brian. Yep, too heavy ... I'm after something closer to 18lbs, max.
Thanks for the info on the RX8 Mazdaspeed MS-01S 18's, spigot52 - I like those wheels ... unfortunately, those are 40mm offest (aluminum wheel - couldn't find info on the magnesium wheel) ... looking for something no more than 48mm in order to save rolling guards
I note that the latest RX8 Mazdaspeed 18" wheels are also specified as just under 21lbs each, so not sure why they have gone heavier if the earlier Mazdapseed 18" wheels are 17.6lbs ... neither here nor there due to the offset, though.
EDIT: My apologies, spigot52 ... the official Mazdaspeed data (as opposed to a third-party website) shows the Mazdaspeed 18x8" wheel to be 17.6lbs for the aluminum wheel and 16lbs for the magnesium wheel ... I still need to follow up on the offsets, but they are both forged wheels, so they are expensive ... especially the magnesium version.

245/45/17... No rubbing and I have RB spring's on it! Now, I have 245/40/17 and it's the same! I know some track racer run with the 235/40/17 on stock 17'' wheel's at full speed and now problem also...
I LOVE MY MX-5 :)
