ive been having problems every once in a while out the blue, my 2000 m2 will start spuddering when i start it and it will shake real hard like its gonna stall out but doesnt. the check engine light will start flashing and stay on. sometimes it will stop at the next try to start but not always. i took it to advance auto parts to get the code for the check engine light to see what was causing it and they said it was engine misfire.could it be my ignition coil pack? i tried changing spark plugs and wires but no luck. any ideas would be helpful, thanks

Coil pack would be my guess. Interesting that it seems to come and go. I suspect some arcing at the coilpack under certain conditions (perhaps moisture condensation back there). You might start by just doing a proper cleaning of the contacts and surrounding back there of all dirt and grime.
