I recently took my RX8 to my first open track event. They let me off the hook for not having a mounted fire extinguisher since this was my first time out, but I figure I should have one for next time (and after that once, I know there will be a next time).

Does anyone make a mounting kit for the RX8 or will I have to make one myself? It doesn't seem to be a huge deal to make one that mounts to the seat rails, but if there's already one available, I'd rather go that route. I've searched this forum and others but haven't found anything.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of one made JUST for the RX8. We sell a Halon unit and include the bracket to allow mounting to the floor...usually on the passenger side either before the front seat on the trans tunnel or behind the seat. Here is the product:
