Pro Choice performance "Module" (resistor)

Post by kat0069 »

Pro Choice Performance Module.
Has anybody used this piece? It attaches to the Intake Air temp circuit in the MAF Harness. Supposed to give performance & MPG.
Does it work?
Is it a joke?
Is it Dangerous?

Knowing nothing more about the product than your description, it seems like it could work.
Your ECU calculates how much fuel to inject based on the mass of air entering the system, with various advances and retards for temperatures and operating conditions. It is certianly possible to trick the ECU (by making it think the air coming into the engine was colder than it really is)into injecting more fuel (to compensate for the apparently higher density), and possibly advancing the timing as well.
Does it work? Maybe.
Is it dangerous? No.
Is it legal? Almost certianly not.
