2000 head/vcis swap on a 97 block

Post by sprout97 »

Regarding the early NB head & intake, is the swap worth the effort for a normally aspirated, stock compression mill? If it is, what can one expect, 3-5 hp?

Also, is the RB 4:1 ('94-'97) header still usable out of the box (no fabrication involved)? With the VCIS also installed, which Monster Flow should one pick, the NA or the NB?

Lastly, what, in your opinion is the best & most effective route to control the VCIS butterflies?

The head swap is worth it for those actually in competition. Otherwise, tons of effort for a small gain.
